Carsten Scheele
CEO
Aachen-based, TEMA Technologie Marketing AG, has appointed a new board of directors to succeed the late Dr. Günter Bleimann-Gather, who founded and successfully led the company as chairman of the board for many years. Carsten Scheele took the helm on 01 August 2023 as the new CEO.
Carsten Scheele (55), who has worked for TEMA AG since 2002 as an authorized signatory and head of the Event Management department, has more than 30 years of experience in technology marketing. Now, as a new board member, he will play a key role in shaping the strategy and further development of TEMA AG.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board
(born '81) Dr. rer. nat. – is Alexander von Humboldt Professor and Director of the Humboldt Centre for Nano- and Biophotonics at the University of Cologne.
In addition to numerous scientific awards such as the Advanced Grant of the European Research Council, he has recently received extensive funding for the translation of his research.
The son of the founder of TEMA AG, who died in June, has chaired the supervisory board for many years. He and his brother Milan Gather are the new owners of the company.
Edwin Eichler
Member of the Supervisory Board
After studying computer science at the University of the German Armed Forces in Neubiberg, Edwin Eichler began his professional career at Bertelsmann AG and was a member of the executive board of ARVATO AG from 1996 to 2002. He then spent many years on the Executive Board of Thyssenkrupp AG. Today, Mr Eichler is a member of several supervisory boards. These include SGL Carbon and the SMS Group, where he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He is also a member of the University Council of the University of Dortmund. Since 2013, Edwin Eichler has been working successfully as an independent management consultant in various industrial sectors.
